The decline in funding for culture and the Arts in the UK over the last year is a reflection of the dramatic rise in social care need and a cost of living crisis; but despite this, we must stay passionate and invested in the future of our children to ensure they have the tools and aspirations for success, underpinned by a genuine appreciation of Arts and Culture.

Since the last conference we launched the Swan Youth Orchestra and welcomed 61 children from 33 Schools across the region in February, sharing with them the joy of classical music. I am looking forward to meeting them again at our next Youth Orchestra event in October!
