Matt Kidson

Matt Kidson joined the Organising Committee in February 2019 as Director of Sport. Matt has overall responsibility for the delivery of the 19 sports on the B2022 sport programme, the provision of sport equipment, training venues and gym & recovery areas in the athlete villages.

 

The anti-doping programme also sits within the Sport department remit.

The overall aim of the Sport department is to deliver world class sporting conditions for athletes and to create as many opportunities for young people to join the team and begin a career in sport.

 

Matt has previously worked on London 2012 and on multi-sport Games in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Indonesia.
