Christina has over 20 years’ experience working in the arts and cultural education. After previous career experience in communications and marketing, Christina studied for an MA in Cultural Policy at Warwick University which led to roles in arts marketing and via a winding road to project management in education, youth and community music, including devising professional development courses and advice for musicians seeking to work in community and education settings.
As regional officer for national lottery charity Youth Music, she developed an investment strategy for the West Midlands, supporting projects with many different partners to engage young people in challenging circumstances and children under 5 in music making.
After 11 years at Arts Council England working with midlands music education hubs, orchestras, choirs, opera companies, jazz and contemporary popular musicians, Christina has recently left to pursue freelance projects and consultancy. A keen choral singer and pianist, she enjoys all kinds of music, dance, theatre, film, reading and travel.
